Speech and drama requires discipline as well as the ability to interact well with others. We therefore request students to follow these simple rules.
- Respect needs to be shown to all members, regardless of their age or their acting ability.
- Respect must be shown to Teachers as well as to the venue and to all props and items belonging to others.
- Students who do not pay attention, act inappropriately or appear to be disruptive to the class, will be given a warning. If behaviour does not improve after three warnings, parents will be informed. If a student continues to misbehave, they will be asked not to attend future classes.
- Students who do not wish to be a part of RYAG, should not be made to attend, as a negative attitude can have a detrimental effect upon the entire class.
- Students are expected to be responsible for any items they bring, i.e. costumes, props, shoes, scripts, personal belongings.
- Students can choose if they wish to play a certain part or be involved in an Eisteddfod, therefore they must appreciate that if they are offered or if they select a role that involves other young actors, or if they enter an Eisteddfod section that is a Duo Poem (a piece for two voices) or a Duologue (a short act for two people), they must learn their lines by the following RYAG Drama Workshop. Failure to do this is unfair to others who have spent time learning their part. This can result in disappointment, worry and concern for other cast members.
- RYAG students need to work as team members.
